Functional gateposts that bring together the best of craftsmen’s skills and knowledge
AICHI METAL manufactures “”functional gateposts”” that are installed on both sides or one side of the gate. This may be unfamiliar to the general public, but I think it is fair to say that it is a popular industry term. However, it is difficult to find ‘functional gateposts’, which are products that combine a ‘post entrance’, a ‘delivery box’ and a ‘nameplate’ into one, in line with the design of an existing gate. In particular, the more design features the original gate has, the more likely this is to be the case. We receive an increasing number of such orders. However, it is not easy to produce a ‘functional gatepost’ that matches the existing equipment and design. This is because the level of difficulty differs greatly if the existing equipment has been worked on by us, but if it has not, the level of difficulty differs greatly if we have to figure out even a single material at the time of construction or now.

We offer one-of-a-kind functional columns with unique finishes such as phosphating, VeroMetal or VeroMetal HD, not to mention painted finishes. However, there are also cases where ready-made products are used, such as post boxes, delivery boxes and nameplates. This is partly due to cost, but also largely due to functionality. Security functions of delivery boxes in particular are becoming increasingly complex, and it takes many years for us to develop such things from scratch. There is also the issue of warranty. Therefore, we propose specifications such as choosing from ready-made products and customising them in terms of design. This is the result of our emphasis on making proposals that meet the needs of our customers.
