Aging black leather metal

"Metals bring a tasteful look as they age."

What is black iron?

Black iron is one of the most popular metal expressions. In particular, black iron skin, produced by a process called hot rolling, is covered with an oxide film, and its strength performance and color are so popular that it can now be found used in a wide variety of settings. The features of this manufacturing method are as follows Rolled at 900°C to 1200°C, it is easier to process than other metals. It is also superior in cost performance. The opposite method, cold rolling, is also available. This method is also popular, but this material has no oxide film, so the surface is very smooth and shiny, but it is also very rust-prone, so the surface must be protected at all times.

A preferred but difficult material to handle.

The reason why "black iron" is featured is because of its expression and texture, which cannot be expressed by painting. The texture of black iron will increase with age. By utilizing the black iron without a topcoat, the surface of the piece will be given a tasteful appearance. While it is possible to enjoy the change in expression and texture over time, this "black iron" is also prone to problems. Although black iron can be used as it is as a surface material, it has the disadvantages of "being covered with scratches from the time it comes from the material store," "having a sparse pattern," and "rusting easily. It is also a show of our skill to manage to deal with the fact that black iron is prone to problems. For example, it is possible to express a comparable black skin by shot-blasting a black skin product that has been welded, cut, or polished, decorating it with a decorating agent developed by our company, and top-coating it. This can dramatically increase reliability.

Black iron-finish with special coating and VeroMetal HD black-finish

Furthermore, by using the special coatings "VeroMetal" and "VeroMetal HD," we have achieved a level of black iron production that we can proudly offer to our customers. The black crust on the surface of iron is formed at a high temperature of approximately 1000℃, and when the temperature is lowered, the surface oxidizes and a film is formed. However, with black iron with VeroMetal, shades of color can be freely adjusted. Using this method, we have accumulated many examples of decorative treatment with black iron-finish, and we are proud of our extensive track record. Of course, we have achieved not only corrosion resistance after finishing, but also aging resistance. We are ready to bring the charm of black iron to as many people as possible.
