Technology Case Study

Construction of electronic control mechanisms.

Electronic control is a word with a thousand different methods and mechanisms. At first glance, it may seem like a world unrelated to our metalworking business, but it is a technology that is right next door to any other field. For example, when we make an elevator door, it is a large electronic control unit, and we are making the part that is the face of the elevator. However, we do not assemble the electronic control itself in our company. However, we can talk about ideas and structural concepts. We can also shape it with the help of external partners. In short, there is always a way to realize it.

A world like a work of art

This project was a furniture production. The furniture has a hand wash inside. Therefore, if the hands are wet when opening and closing the door, the door part will hurt faster. Furthermore, hiding the water area at all times can create a new tension in the space. We came to the conclusion that the best option to satisfy these elements was to have the door open and close automatically by sensing a person. In fact, a single metal door is installed in the president's office and outside entrance area of AICHI METAL. This door is designed to be opened with a code. The door was custom-made for us, and the company that assembled the electronic control was also our partner. We told them about our requirements and they decided to develop the electronic control part.

Simple and understandable.

The resulting electronic control is extremely simple. The automatic opening and closing of doors is not an unusual mechanism. However, when it comes to a piece of furniture that is placed inside a house and includes a hand wash basin, the mechanism becomes very special. A control panel assembled from a circuit board and a motorized mechanism to open and close the door are combined in the upper part of the door. The movement was designed to be smooth. It is really simple, but by adding the specs of electronic control to the realm of metalworking, we too can obtain a new form of expression. New challenges, including future maintenance, are always a great reminder.
