Living Conduct and Floor Plan
Staircases are one of the most important elements of a living line. The relationship between the staircase and the floor plan is very deep, and where it is placed can greatly change the line of flow and the impression of the interior. A staircase placed in the center of the building can be an accent, and the reason it is close to the living room and kitchen is that it creates the expression of a place where the family gathers. In a custom-built house, the staircase itself can be made exactly as you envision it, so it can function as an "icon" that exists inside the very house. At the same time, safety performance is essential. If the staircase is not strong enough during installation and construction, it could lead to an accident. No matter how beautiful the staircase is, it is meaningless and useless if it does not create a sense of security. Therefore, when focusing on design, we must also pay thorough attention to how to realize this safety performance.
Beauty and strength.
As a matter of fact, our feeling that a beautiful staircase is a thing that goes all the way to the realization of strength is still based on the human intuitive need for safety in a staircase. For example, if a staircase has a truly beautiful finish, but its weight or safety is questionable for humans, we may see it as an "object" but we may not recognize it as a "safe staircase. There are often stories about glass suspension bridges overseas, and I think this is a typical example. People are intuitively concerned about the strength of the glass, so they are afraid to cross the bridge. The staircase we created for this project has both strength and a sense of object. The beautiful shape of the staircase and the fact that it is easy to use even in a limited space make it attractive, while the texture of the steel gives it a sense of solidity and reliability, and the paint applied gives it a graceful and elegant impression. The use of a different material for the step also emphasizes the presence of this product.
Pre-construction temporary assembly
The first photo shows the temporary assembly of this staircase before installation. The second photo shows the temporary assembly after the first decorative treatment. What is especially important about this staircase is that we spent a lot of time to verify the finished product repeatedly. There is almost no need to worry about the strength of the staircase, as it is verified during the design process and during our manufacturing process. What is important this time is the beauty of the finished image. Verification of the beauty of the lines and the sense of presence is essential. We always repeat temporary assembly and other processes while finishing the work. Only when we work with a consistent philosophy, from the decorative treatment to the actual installation, can the product be sublimated into an original product with reliability and elegance. This project is a good example of the culmination of these efforts.
