VeroMetal coloring
*Photographs are different from actual delivery. For example, there is a request for a single metal in a specified color, and by utilizing VeroMetal, it is possible to produce a color that is as close to this specified color as possible. However, this requires a tremendous amount of samples, and the cost is high. This does not mean that production is difficult. First, the material is determined, and then the color is added. After receiving a request, we generally discuss the features we want to add based on the metal color. We then mix the VeroMetal with reference to these characteristics to create the color. The challenge is after the coating is applied: VeroMetal is a metal itself, so it will change over time even if it is treated with a color fixing treatment (anti-corrosion treatment). It is most important to create color tones that anticipate these changes over time.

In this case, we were commissioned by a high brand with a global presence. For the first time in the world, they created a bar space in their store and used a 5-meter long curved metal structure for the tableware shelves. For a global brand, branding regulations are extremely important in determining a global image strategy. Therefore, strict coloring was required for the metal components as well. After the coloring of the metal had been completed to meet the design specifications, the next step was to add a hairline as a decorative treatment. The direction, length, etc. of the hairline were all specified, and the cost per square meter of VeroMetal is quite expensive depending on the material. Hairlining once the color is applied is always a strain, but the experienced and skilled craftsmen were able to clear the tension.
Delivery and on-site installation
Now, the sizing of the component is 5m. Then, not only transportation, but also carrying in is a major issue. In fact, this component did not fit through the entrance. Moreover, the surface is very delicate, so we wanted to take as many safety measures as possible. So we used a crane truck to bring it in from the second floor, where the windows were to be installed. We of course do the installation work on site. Our on-site installation is carried out in a unique and detailed manner to ensure that the metal components can be used for a longer period of time. For example, we carefully select the most appropriate materials for everything from the groundwork for installing the components to the jigs used during installation. We hope that this metal component will also last longer and bring new joy to as many people as possible.
